Day 2 - got the rental car and loaded up the trunk...sorry, the hire car and put the suitcases in the boot, we set off from Atlanta to Franklin. Beautiful mountains and plenty of trees lined the majority of the route. Driving on the wrong side of the road while occasionally smashing my left hand into the door to change gear is fun. Forget its an automatic. Suffering with a cold aswell.

As expected everyone is more than friendly and can't do enough to recommend places to go and eat. Ate in an Italian restaurant that didnt look like much on the outside but was amazing inside. Service, food and atmosphere was great. And the price was even better! $40 for both of us. Salad, garlic bread rolls, 2 mains and cheesecake and drinks...bargain!

Log cabin tomorrow night in the middle of nowhere...
