So I successfully managed to get myself out of the airport and on a train to yea to city hall for a coffee and have a lil look round a shop.
But knowone actually told me that once u get on the train from the airport it only goes between 3 stations like shuttle runs to and from those three stations.
So I am now on my way back to the airport to then go all the way back to the station where I can then change and get to city hall.
Good job is only 8am here, and the shops don't open till 10. All though im sure a Starbucks here will be open...
Just wasting time now...
And to think I was sitting here all smug thinking 'this ain't hard at all...' what a dickhead... That's what u get got just running out with ur head phones on. Lesson learnt. X
Also forgot to say this:
On my way back to the airport I was in my own lil world, music on (being cocky coz I knew where I had to change this time). And some random Singapore guy with a stutter, which to be fair was probably the least of his worries, starte questioning me about "what's the English word for" and then saying some kinda Japanese sushi dish! I just kept saying I don't kno. Then he asked me about mushrooms. To which I started laughing. Then about me drinking and smoking. "did you know that's bad for ur health?" Needless to say I felt enlightened with that vital piece of information..
Then he went on to tell me the government in Singapore offered him a million dollars, but he didn't take it! He's an honest man earning an honest living. He works at the airport emptying the bins. Of course!! See if that was my job I wouldn't except a million dollars either.
Then he found out I was English. Not American as he first thought and started recalling of street names in lodon. He'd never been to London tho. So I was actually quite impressed with the amount of road names/tube stations he could name.
Bless his lil cottons tho. Did make me laugh! I shook his hand bid him farewell. X
