Wow! Just got back recently from a long weekend in Lima, Peru! It was wonderfully
hot there, it being summer this time of year. A welcome change from the now frozen
East Coast, though, I had been in not-so-sunny Santa Monica before heading down
to Lima. Anyhow, it can still get cool at night, so, especially if you are near
the beach, make sure to have a jumper, and if you are up in the altitude, bring
your collection of hoodies to keep you warm in style.

Lima? Not what I expected. Nicer, cleaner, less impoverished. People definitely
like to dance, and enjoy life on the day to day. I attended a local wedding:
always amazing to see just how a different culture celebrates this special event
steeped in tradition. Balloons, stilt walkers, salsa and merengue were all highlights.
If you have a chance to go to Lima, make sure to get some ceviche, and of course,
a Pisco Sour!

Next, I'm off to Monte Carlo! Wish me luck at the world famous casinos!
