Sorry it has been a while since the last blog entry but its been hard to get onlne. I will start from the last blog where i said we were going out. We ended up getting some cheap beer from the spermarket and taking it back to the hostel. We had met a few Canadians, Brazilians and Americans and just taked and played drinking games with and then went out at about 1230. A women who worked at the hostel had recommended a bar but when we got there it looked rubbish and the canadians refused to stay because you had to pay for the toilets. So we walked back and onto a small island in the middle of the Danube and went to a club called Cha Cha Cha, which had an outside dance floor and an inside area. So it was an ok night apart from the hour walk to get there. Me and ricky didnt go to sleep until it was light as we sat playing a game called Blokus with one of the Canadians, so we didnt get up until about 2. We had quite a laugh that morning though as we realised that during the night Ricky had woken up, thrown up in his bed and towel and then just gone back to sleep. So the next night he had to sleep on the couch. That day we went to look at the heroes square and then headed to the turkish baths not really knowing what to expect but it was really nice and we spent a good few hours relaxing in the hot and cold pools and the saunas. We had planned to go out that night but i had ear ache and the others were too tired, so it was an early night.
We then got the train to Prague the next day and didnt arrive until the evening so just went to check in to our hostel and then went looking for a cheap meal. Which isnt to hard to find but some how we ended up in one of the posh restaurants. When we walked in the place was fairly empty and it was rather late, but the waiter asked us if we had a reservation. I think he was trying to get rid of us, which wasnt suprising as ricky had come in swim shorts and flip flops. The waiter just walked off but another came and took us to a table in the back away from anyone. I ended up getting duck coated in honey which was a starter as a main as i couldnt afford more but he wasnt impressed. We just couldnt stop giggling and we were get some mucky looks from other people in the restaurant. The next morning we got up early and split off again as lisa wanted to do some mor shopping as she had already done the sights in Prague and Me Peddie and Ricky went to do the sights. We crossed the Charles Bridge and quickly walked up the hill so we could see the change of the guard on th hour. We then walked around the Castle and walked up to the tower to get a good view of the city. We were pritty tired by this point as the lift was out of order in the tower so we slowly walked back across the bridge and went to the torture museum. The museum housed old torture machines some of which were very gruesome and looked extremely pain full. On our search for breakfast that morning we had got a flyer about a bar crawl and decided that would probably the best way to spend the night as we didnt know where the good bars were. It was about 15 pounds and we got a meal, free beer for 1 1/2 hours and shots in each bar. We met loads of people on the crawl, 3 lads from Manchester, Americans and plenty of Canadians. We also met with 3 Canadians that were in our hostel in Zagreb as we were ment to meet up in Budapest. The crawl went to 4 bars and 1 club but after the 3rd bar peddie had had too much to drink and wanted to go home so lisa and ricky took him back, but i had already gone to the next bar with some people i had met and didnt realise that they had gone. After about an hour i realised but had no phone and no key for the hostel so just carried on to the club. Lisa had the number or the Canadians so she knew i was fine althought fo about 30mins ricky had gone out to try and find me. The club closed at about 4ish and me the 3 Canadians and 2 irish girls went back to there apartment via the 24hour shop for some beer and just chilled for a couple of hours until i fell asleep on the couch. Luckily I had told them that i needed to be back by 11 to check out of the hostel so i got woke up at 10 with directions to my hostel. So it was a quick walk home across half of Prague. So i didnt get back til 1030. I should of come back at 11 though as they were about to pack my bag for me.
Suprisingly there was no hangover and we got the train to Dresden. But we were all rather tired so went to the supermarket and cooked fajitas and went o bed at 9. In the morning we walked across the river to the old town which they have just finished constructing as it was bombed in the second world war and in 2 days the whole city was destroyed and 18000 people died. Some of the architechture was really interesting and we sat by a pond with our sandwichs half of which was given to the ducks.
We are now in Berlin at Susans flat which is really nice and in a good location for us to get on the undergrund to get to central Berlin. She kndly took us out last night and bought us all a drink and has recommended some bars and clubs. We plan to get a train today and go to a concentration camp and then maybe go see Bruno tonight as there are english showings.
