Hi!

My turn to write something now (Tom)

Just arrived in Salvador having got a 25 hour (oh no wait...29hour!!) bus journey up the East Coast. Just ha d a little wander around and now sitting with a lovely cold Skol (Local ´soft´ drink). The coach journey was made a little worse by the fact that some locals in a bar near our hostel in Rio convinced us to have several Cachasa´s (a traditional Brazilian cocktail)! In fact this turned out just to be half a glass of tequila tasting rocket fuel...NICE!!

Tomorrow we´re catching a bus to look around the old part of Salvador, the Perouhila, which has lovely markets and traditional street festivities. Have struggled on occassions with our lack of Portugese but our sign language is developing rapidly.
