Hey Tom and Amy! Just been reading the blog and really enjoyed catching up with your latest adventures. We are looking forward to the next pictures! It all sounds amazing (apart from the vomit bus)!
All is well here, went to see Elbow last week and it was a top gig. Danny has said he is boycotting V this year after seeing the line up although thats what he said last year! Take care, all our love Kaz and Danny x x ps: Dan said the harmonium is hardwork...

" Hue" eh.? Nice to hear that you're both well & enjoying the travels, but when you get to Hue, remember that was the site of one of the bloodiest battles during the TET Offensive in 1968. Thousands tortured & killed by Victor Charlie ( those nice little smiling men). Not that I'm pro U.S. on this, but the V.C. really went over the top with the treatment they showed to Officials & anybody else supporting the South during the War. Well enjoy your trainride to Saigon next ? I suppose a lot's changed in 40 years but give a little thought to the atrocities carried out by both sides as you pass through.
All the best for now,
Dad xx

Hi Amy n Tom
Just to say thank you for the lovely scarf. I chose the burgandy coloured one.
Drinks with the neighbours at lunchtime before joining the rest of the Prus family for traditional roast lunch, which was very tasty indeed.
Sam should be apres skiing by now and no doubt will have a thoroughly good time.
Look forward to your next blog.
Lots of Love

Hello Tom & Amy,
Just to say thanks for the postcards from Thailand for the girls. I was pretty amazed as one of them only had Ella's name, town and notts in the address block. You hadn't put the house no. or the street but it still arrived!!! That Royal Mail employ some seriously clever staff and thats all I'll say on the matter....lol
Look forward to hearing from you soon. Jay

Hey guys!
Can't believe your going on that boat...all I can say is I hope you invested in a cushion they're not bottom friendly and 2 days is a long time.
Luang Pre Bang is lovely and full of bagettes filled with Laughing Cow cheese (the French influence obviously). If you go past the market on the road one up form the river, in the direction away from where the boat drops you off there is a little alley on the right hand side with food stalls and the best fish stall ever at the end - watch what the locals pay think it about 6000kip. Also if you want to be tight you can buy the delicious Beer Laos in a shop for about 7000/8000kip in the shop (compared to 12000 in the bars) and if you take the bottle back you can get it for a 1000kip less. Hmmmm even more Beer Laos! Oh and theres a bar which does a Loas BBQ which is amazing.
Have fun tubing in Vang Veing (I guess thats where you heading), Vientenne is the most boring city ever and has little accomadation so don't stay too long. If you go back into Thailand over the friendship bridge there is a strange but extemely beautiful Buddah park you can cycle too.
Hope you get the nice boat! Keep us posted with your adventures. x

Amy I am amazed your mother failed to mention our golfing debut. Clearly upstaged by the arrival of the parcel and Sam's invitation to go skiing. Joining my friend Mary in York this weekend to finalise our itinerary for China. Exciting!

Well, you 2 are certainly getting in tune with The East. Great photos...
keep em comin through! Do I detect a slight change in your appearances? Reckon there's a definate Hippy influence creaping up on you. The pics of the Bhuddist statues & artefacts are really good......Nothing wrong there, but think twice before enrolling as a Monk!
As you travel further East, be careful not to ask for a Hot Dog...U may get the real meal deal! Keep us posted when you can, & take care as always,
Love & Best Wishes as you go,
Mum & Dad xxxxx
