We arrived early Saturday morning and got the bus to Y Linh Ho where we meet the guide, Chi. It turned out to be just me and Cath on the trek as everyone else was just doing 1 night and we were doing 2. Trekking here was different to the trek in China as you literally went up and down the edge of the terraces in places...no path!! On the first day we trekked to Lao Chi for lunch and then visited Chi's family in Ta Van - her mum conned us into buying more stuff...

Arrived in Hanoi from Hong Kong mid morning and caught my transfer to the hostel. It is SO hot here its unbelievable...I've never experienced heat like it. The city is chaotic with thousands of motorbikes everywhere and what seems like thousands of people trying to sell you stuff and they just follow you harassing! Meet some people from the hostel I was in on the first night and we all went to watch a water puppet show before we grabbed some food of the street...
