Oops, its been so long since I last updated the site I can hardly remember what I've done!! When I left Vietnam I flew to Bangkok which kind of turned into a week of drinking! I met up with Stuart again and a few others and we basically just went out every night and never quite managed to go to the Palace or any other touristy things apart from the ping pong show, which was interesting!! We also made out to the Tiger Temple where I stroked massive tigers - although I'm sure they were drugged. Near the Tiger Temples we went to the bridge over the river Kwai which claimed thousands of lives during its construction in World War 2.
Eventually I managed to escape the nightlife of Bangkok and headed up North to Chang Mai (after missing one bus and having to stay an extra night). I was a better tourist in Cang Mai and visited loads of temples. One day we hired bikes and went to a fantastic elephant sanctuary. The elephants were incredible (all rescued) and they were really well looked after. They even painted!! Unfortunatley this was the day I managed to crash a scooter - opposite the place I actually hired the scooter from!!! Luckily I only had a few cuts and bruises, but I had to pay to repair the car I hit - possible one of the most embarrasing moments of my life as my boobs came out when I fell off!!
From Chang Mai we did a 2 day trek where we also did elephant riding, white water rafting and bamboo rafting which was great fun. When we got back to Chang Mai we went to a thai boxing match where a scottish guy whipped the thais at there own sport.
From here we got the bus to the laos border...
