The Great Ocean Road
On the 2nd of April I left Adelaide and headed to Mount Gambier. This is the home of the Blue Lake; a lake that is formed in a dorment Valcano. The water is a bright blue due to sulphur dioxide in the soil.
That Night I stayed at "The Jail"; an old jail that has been converted into a hostle. Its a very unque place the owner was shaving bark of wood when I got there and there is a lama chained up at the front.
The next day I got on the Great Ocean Road. I stopped at the Bay of Islands and the twelve Apostles the best place though was the Grotto. The Grotto is an arch of rock carved by the sea with a still bwater pool under the arch. You can climb down to look through the arch and see the contrast between the still water and the waves crashing against the rocks.
The road was very winding through frostes and along cliff faces. Because of that it took longer than I thoughtand it got dark, so I stopped for the night in Lorne instead of Torque.
In Lorne I meet Marcell and Ramona (Swiss) and Maria (Spanish). They had made too much dinner for themselves so they offered me some and I had dinner with them.
The next day I headed to Torque for the Rip Curl Pro World Surf Compition at Bells Beach. It gave me a more of an enstentive to learn to surf (I doubt it will be as easy as they make it look). I headed to Torque for lunch and then made my way to Melborne...
