Well Las Vegas! Its something else i tellya! We arrived after driving a monster 428 miles from San Simeon. The drive was easy enough as the highways here are long straight roads (had a 88 mile road, followed by a 126 mile road and then a 158 mile road to finish me off, with a few 20 milers inbetween). The first night we arrived we checked into our hotel in the Circus Circus casino complex. It was a nice, if slighty basic, room - but had everything we needed in, including a fridge this time. For 9 pound a night we weren't going to complain. We headed straight for the all you can eat buffet. Afrer eating as much as I possibly could I retired to our room - leaving the others to polish off the rest of the buffet. I think i slept right through to the next morning - i was shattered. The next morning we got up - sorted oursleves out and headed down the "Las Vegas Boulavard". The strip by day isnt the same as it is by night - although very happening none the less. We strolled down basking in the sun in shorts and t shirts. We got towards the other end of the strip as we passed such casino's as the Mirage and then Ceasars Palace (Ceasars Palace was massive and a great spectical) - and then we hit the big one. The Bellagio! The place was massive - as most things in Vegas and USA in general. We stood taking photos and talking about the amount of money that does through that place on a daily occurance. We headed back to the hotel to lie down before we hit the all you can eat buffet again. We came to the thinking that if we stole enough food from the buffet we didnt have to buy food for teh next day - until the evening when we would do the same again. So thats what we did - its been apples, banannas and cookies (there the easiest things to get away with in your pockets we figured) for the last few days. Last night we headed for the strip after dark - totally different ball game. We walked down with the casino lights illuminating the streets - music playing all the way down. It was amasing - we got down to the Bellagio again (for me this was the main focal point) we were all having some photos taken when suddenly a loud blast from teh speaker almost gave me a heartattack! The fountain show was beggining. It was awesome - the fountains played to "Hey big spender", it was something you couldnt dexcribe in words - not properly anyway. We crossed the bridge and stood outside - Nunners wanted to ask for an application for the world poker series inside (knowing it costs about 10000 dollars plus - about 6000 pound) so we strolled in. We stood there in hoodies, tracksuit bottoms and trainers. To say i felt out of place was an understatment. All the same we had a look about for half an hour or so and headed for the hotel once again. Vegas has been a great experience and i think we have all said we would love to come back with more money and really make the most of it. Anyway i got to shoot - have to have a shower and get ready for another 300 mile drive to L.A. Hollywood here we come
