We were at Las Vegas Bay campground, paying $5 a night. Got to visiting with a couple that said they paid $2.50 a night. Couldn't pass that up, so off to Lone Pine CA.Nice campground. Got into Furnace Creek campground and it was HOT! Just enjoyed the spot for the rest of the day and met a great couple Mike and Julie. $12 per night. Ice is about $6 with tax. Gas is $5.50 per gal. Fill up before you come. Next morning off to Scotty's Castle !! All I can say is wow. It really is nice and you need all day to look it over . We brought a lunch and took the tours. Well, we are off!Had hoped to start sooner but some last minute problems came up. Literally , spent two days we didn't plan on trying to get the sewer fixed. Sorry Aunt Vi.(had hoped to make a quick stop).Had to get to Las Vegas to see my niece, she only had one day when she did not have to work. (They had just gotten back from vacation the day before). 

Went to see our great niece today. Isn't she a beauty.Got to visit with our niece for a while, a lovely lady, and so talented.Thanks for the visit.

We spent the opening minutes of New Years day, snug in our bed sound asleep.HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!we are waiting for a package to be delivered and with all the holidays, mail is notflowing very fast.Have not decide exactly whats up next, kinda depends on a few things.Hoping to be on the move again soon.Stay turned for the next episode of "Thriftydrifters".
