Almost a month after our departure, we are able to leave our clothes at a laundry. With other words, this was a city we wanted to stay in for more than one day.
It's actually quite sad that the weather has prevented us from doing alot of the things we wanted to do in Argentina.
The houses are not build for this cold, and the lack of warm water and heating indoors makes it quite dificult to enjoy this country.
Of course, if you've got warm clothes there's no problem.
People ask us all the time; but aren't you use to the cold, you're from Norway?!
NO! Our coutry is not covered in snow, and there are no polar bears in the streets. Besides we've got quilts containing warm feathers..
So our first quest in this city was to find a sleeping bag. To many nights without sleep, freezing!
The town of Tucumán is a modern city, with alot of boutiques, and people here are very "modern".
It's been a while since we've been able to sit at a café where there is heating. Of course, this costs more money but hey, sometimes we've got to splurge..
There is not to much to say about these three days we stayed in Tucuman, all we did was getting our clothes washed, wander around in the city centre - oh, I almost forgot!
At the local market, I found Chorros!! A wonderful, but very greasy pastry, filled with chocolate.. It's a good thing I've not encountered this before!
Last I ate this was in Barcelona, 9 years ago. Mmmmmmm, so good!! It's a must-try!
We decided to leave the city, and head up for the mountains of Andes, to a city called Cafayate.
We took a bus passing through a wonderful scenery, and "Tafí del Valle" - recomended!
