Arrived in Alex last night at midnight - I spent all day trying to get back my £600 (got 400 back) stolen from under my pillow while I was sleeping. A stranger also said he would "give me two halves" (beat me up) because i didnt accept a hug from him. I was supposed to leave Cairo at 4pm on 23rd but spent the day recovering my stolen camera. Met queer #6 last night. He asked if I was gay, I said no so he decided to pretend he wasn't either (and I believed him)...

Went out with friends to a sheesha bar and a nightclub/boat on the Nile. Then went out with mercury (a Nigerian staying in the hostel I'm at) to a house party on an 8th floor rooftop. There are protests in Tahrir square again (they happen every Friday).

Climbed crystal mountain and others. Went swimming in hot springs and had a tour around baharia town. Next day slept in the sand dunes then did some more swimming and came back to Cairo on 20th.

Got up at six to get a bus to baharia oasis for a desert tour. Broke down in the black desert for 3 hours. Spent the night in the White desert listening to music and smoking sheesha.

Went to al shorrouq uni with mostafa and muza. The security wouldn't let me in so I had to climb the fence at the back. Went to some lessons which I couldn't understand and then got kicked out by a security man so we went to the other part of the uni which they let me into but I still couldnt understand much. It was funny watching everyone stare at me as I walked around though.
