Your website is boring these days. Put some pics of vegetables up or invent some stories if nothing is new in your life

So I need to add some bits that the boys arent telling you. 1. Teva is seeing a girl!!!! 2. Kris isnt sleeping in a shed, but in a multi functional room that can facilitate more than one enterprise or person at a time.(mind you, since Kris has been in there it has been a one man/person room!!) 3. Kris is getting buff from all the shoveling of stones and dirt and is talking trash about taking on Barney next time they meet. Check your pay per view for that one. 4. Teva is seeing a boy. And in my own defence, the boat in gear episode has happened to other skippers of the same boat...just not while i was around to learn from.

'Young man you ought never to go to sea any more, you ought to take this as a plain and visible token that you are not to be a seafaring man. I would not set foot on a boat with and your bananas for a thousand shillings! But Alas! for me to do wrong that never did right, was no great wonder. I had no remedy but to go on; I was gotten into an employment quite remote to my genius, and directly contrary to the life I delighted in; nay, I was coming into the very middle station, or upper degree of low life, which my comrade advised me to before; and which if I resolved to go on with, I might as well have stayed at home, and never have fatigued m yself in the world as I had done; and I used often to say to myself, I could ha' done this as well in Edinburgh among my friends, as ha' gone 12,000 miles off to do it among strangers and salvages in a wilderness, and at such a distance as never to hear from any part of the world that had the least knowledge of me.

Dear Kris,
Thank-you for the contact email address. I spoke with my committee colleagues over the weekend and they all agreed the incident was an excellent contender. The further information about the engine being 'in gear' is a wonderful additional detail - rescues which have to be undertaken due to complete incompetence rather than mechanical breakdown always score highly. The 'banana' issue also provoked much mirth. Surely even an inexperienced sailor would be aware of the righteous indignation this will provoke in a sea captain? There might even be a case for a joint award to helm and crew. Is 'Teva' a real name or just a nickname? The awards are generally covered in the press and I'd like to ensure we have the correct details.
Many thanks, Martin.

Great story!! Reminds me of times on Erraid when the old Seagull engine wouldn't start and I thought we were headed to New York. Glad you are safe and dry!
What happened to the rest of your fine picnic?
Debbie and I are in Dallas right now and will be returning to Michigan tomorrow. I will write more from there. How about some photos?
Lots of love
Papa

Sorry T for once again hijacking your website, i just wanted to post up Captn Dave's email
Martin you can leave him a message at [email protected], He recently pointed out to me the missing explanation as to why the out board refused to start, the reason? he left it in gear. May i also add that since that disatarous day i have become a full time employe for his buissness and am currently camping out in his back shed so go easy on him i'm not moving out untill next week.
Teva i just want to say in the most manly possible way, i miss you dude. oh yeah and also i have sky T.V broadband and my own bed(yes in a shed but a rather roomy one).

Dear Kris, Your adventures were brought to my attention by a friend. Every year the Royal Findhorn Yacht Club awards the Flounder Trophy to the helm of a boat involved in the most embarrassing rescue during the season. Normally the awards are made to vessels in the Moray Firth. However, such was the absurdity of your adventures that my colleagues have been persuaded to enter Cptn Dave this year he certainly stands an excellent chance of winning. Could you provide me with his contact details just in case? Many thanks. Rear-Admiral (retd) M. Dunbar-Naismith, RFYC

Hi Teva I hear you guys have found a flat that is awesome. Any idea for how long? I suppose after your brush with near banana tragedy you don't want to come to ride the waves and mountains anymore. I walked around town today and saw loads of jobs in case you tire of the bureaucratic bustle of the boot.

Hey ! rumours running around the campus about the banana boat story --i rushed to log on : Awesome ! 1) Glad you survived it ; 2) Kris, now might be a great time to consider swimming lessons ! 3) How was the other Chris in all this ? 4) Was your skipper allergic to bananas ? or just phobic ? Curious tale -- have you got any pictures to document it ?
Hereabouts, we begin a non violet communications seminar -- which brings the blossoms out in us all !
and otherwise 'all is v well' enough. Keep the news s s s s s s flowing , thanks for the updates.

Love From Stalwart City
G'day Tevo. Haven't blogged for a while, so here goes. My life is hinged around another expedition just now. I'm acting as web/communications geek for a team of six who are crossing the Greenland ice cap - one of the girls is paraplegic. Brave lady (and she's from Grantown on Spey). Getting weather forecasts out to them can be difficult as their PC is currently deep-frozen and we're relying on a sat-phone link. I guess you don't have to worry about broken ski-bindings, -30C temperatures and shortage of decent food. See: www.hie.co.uk/careers-scotland-greenland-expedition.html Adi and Gareth were in London at the w/e, seeing Viv. Good time had by all. Graham's back at Dallas Dhu for 2-3 days per week and Nora's getting tucked into her lovely garden as usual. A few hot sunny days here but got my baldy bit stung in a hail storm this week - and it snowed on Cairngorm. Hope your head, soul and heart are behaving themselves. Hugs from all Stalwartese citizens. (via Ken)
