Ola!
Hey all my loved ones in my beloved home.
Well Spain is now done, arrived back early this morning. So my Spain trip was with Lizzy and 13 of her mates, all but one was a kiwi. We went to a 4 day music festival called Benacassin (which is a city in Spain) and we stayed in apartments 20min bus ride away in a town called Oropesa.
Spain is lovely, unfortuntly I didn't make it to explore Barcelona but I did make a day trip to Valencia which was really pretty. Spain is so clean - well the parts I saw anyway. Weather was goregous...so each day we sunbathed and chilled, eat then would rock up on bus to the festival. I must admit, the festival was nothing we expected - the music wasn't that great and the layout was strange, was in a concrete carpark, which is strange I am so used to festivals being in a field or beach hehe...so I wasn't that impressed with the talent, with the expection of Hot Chip and Calvin (both of which I only just got introduced too but loved).
So Spain was pretty and lovely.....but it was probably the most hardest time I have had on my trip so far. When I left London I felt the flu coming on and it hit full force when we got to Spain, I also had a mouth ulcer which was incrediably painful, made it hard to eat and I constantly had to numb it with bonjela - which I might add is not a good idea to apply to much of as one time I accidently numbed my entire mouth and tongue....strange feeling but funny hehe. My appetite was none exsistant and lived on iceblocks for 2 days. Being that sick, in a foreign land with very little knowledge of their language can be really down heartening...and I was feeling really vulnerable and extremely homesick. I had a really trying time, and my faith was really tested. Thank goodness my gurl Lizzy was there with me to help look after me and pick me up - but I can honestly say my only strength, courage and comfort came from connecting and reaching for God....so I guess I was put in a situation that was intended in order for me to remember and learn and test my faith in His will - so yeah.....I'll be ok, it is a consious thing for me to keep looking up and forward and not keepin down, that would be too easy.
Lizzy just made my day though and with the surprise that we are going to watch KORA live tomoro night in London.....so really looking forward to that - it's gonna be so full of kiwis hehe....
Missing you all....and I can' say how much it means to me that you write me, think of me, send love and pray for me.....I know it adds to my strength doing this alone so thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I added a new vid too - and will add another later.
Much Luvs
