A day in the tundra
If one was to shoot a polar bear in the head with a slug from a shotgun like this, the bullet would most likely bounce off the polar bear's skull. The idea is to shoot for the heart of the 1200 pound animal. If you miss the chest, you might get lucky and hit the paw or the leg, slowing down the charge enough to escape.
