Travel- The Prelude....
By TJ
So we have 2 weeks left working in our respective offices and then 28 days later (hopefully without any zombies) we shall be boarding a plane bound for Hong Kong and the start of our 4 months of travelling Asia & Australasia.
There is still a load of stuff we need to do! Sort the house out before we rent it out and finish all the DIY projects! Get certificates for the house (forking out more money!), travel insurance (important) and the bit I like: SHOPPING for STUFF! Which we won't probably need or could buy out there.
What have we done?
Flights: booked with STA!
First hotel in Hong Kong-booked
VISAS
The Vietnam Visa-done - £100 which is the most expensive of the visas, plus 5.90 for us to post it to them by special delivery.
US transit visa- DONE- $14USD
Australia e-VISA- DONE- free (YEAH)
Cambodia visa- with the Embassy- £30 - not bad but then 11.80 for special delivery both ways!
Jabs: (which we left a bit late but just about squeezing them in before we leave)
This week: Rabies (1 of 3), Hep B (1 of 3) and a cholera vaccine which we take at home.
Have the next round of rabies and hep on Monday 4th July then the Diptheria and Hep C the week before we leave. Might not need malaria tablets if we stick to the coast.
Over and out until we get closer.....
