Day 1
Konichiwa "(or hello in Japanese)". This is the end of my first amazing day here in the wonderful country of Japan.Japan today was very alive with the ancient culture of their many traditions. But that was not what I was doing today, today I decided to exchange my American dollars for Chinese Yen or 円, 圓, and ¥. I headed to the Bank of Japan or the 日本銀行which is also calledtheNichigin or the 日銀 for short. While there they let me take a tour of their bank. It was huge the biggest bank in the world, but that was not best part at all. While there I got to see the vault, Of course I could not see inside of it for security purposes, but I did see the outside of it. I have never seen so much steel combined with locks, security systems, scanners and code pads ever in my life. Overall it was a great experience which brings me to where I went to after the bank- it is called The University of Japan. It is an amazing college that was established in 1877. They have an amazing campus and many learning facilities for everyone. While there I learned that the literacy rate of Japan is 99%! I was shocked that is an amazing thing I couldn't believe it. If I lived in Japan, that's where I'd be going to college. At the end of the day, I had to find a hotel, so I told my tour guide and he recommended The Peninsula Tokyo. It is a prestigious, luxurious, sophisticated, extraordinary, legendary, modern, and contemporary, hotel. I can't wait for tomorrow.
