Having only travelled for an hour last night the boat was a lot calmer and we had our first good nights sleep. After breakfast we went on the dingy to a wet landing where we saw lava tunnels, this is where the lava on top cools and goes hard but inside it is still hot and flowing and so leaves a hollow tunnel. Today was a good food day. Pancakes for breakfast, tuna pasta for lunch and chicken and rice for dinner. Not to mention potatoes for snacks. Eddy was loving life. In the morning we went onto an island which is formed of lava rock where a volcano erupted 100 years ago. It was cool to see how the lava had solidfied in lots of different patterns but there are limits to which you can appreciate rocks after an hour. Today we went Genovesa Island, this was around an 11 hour boat ride from Pyerto Ayora which we did overnight. It was really rocky and I didn't get much sleep as I felt quite ill, but once we stopped moving it was a lot better! This was an exciting day as it was our first day on our cruise. Following our very long sleep we got up quite early and packed all our bags ready for the cruise. Today we went on a day trip to San Cristobal Island. Yet again we had an early start and had to be at the pier in Puerto Ayora at 6:40am. Here we met Jorge and boarded a small boat - which I was convinced was going to tip over - this took us over to a bigger boat that was taking us to the island.
