This Is our end of room we shared with Lars and Paul at our homestay out in Lake Titicaca, the beds had base made of packed reeds about 5 inches thick then a mattress and 4 thick blankets on top - the blankets so heavy it was a real effort just to roll over. The ceiling was plastic sheeting stapled and was constantly moving with the wind but was extremely warm and had a solid 8 hour sleep.
