In Colonia, the final Uruguayan city. Uruguay has been lovely and relaxing but I'm looking forward to a more livelier place with more things to do.
I overslept this morning! But I just managed to get ready and finish off my packing in 15 mins and was just on time, phew!
Got a minibus to take us to the bus station to get our bus to Colonia. It took about 2 hours and I slept most of the way so felt better when I arrived ready for the day ahead.
Got a taxi to the hotel where I then just relaxed on the rooftop which was facing the sea and just read all morning in the sun. It was so warm that I didn't even have to wear a jumper :D
I went for a walk after lunch and it only took me about half an hour to explore including going into souvenir shops and taking photos! It's a very very small place. Beautiful though.
Got into a golf buggy which some others hired and drove around Colonia for a bit before stopping at a supermarket to buy a birthday cake for the birthday meal tonight.
We all went and watched the sunset over the sea which was just beautiful. Took some great photos. Went for a drink afterwards.
Went to this restaurant for Emma's birthday and the table had been laid out with party hats, balloons and streamers in a party area designed for children, it was fun! Had some birthday cake after the meal and it was so nice! It was chocolate with a dulce de leche filling. So it was very rich but my ideal cake :p
Buenos Aires tomorrow! Yay :D
