Your trip sounds fantastic! It certainly sounds better than Slough! The bridge experience sounded amazing. If you get chance when you are heading up to Cairns try and do a stopover at Myella farmstay, they have a website, it really is a great cattle ranch experience - dressing up like a cowboy/girl, horseriding, quadbiking, milking cows, camping under the stars!
