Jackman Travels
Sao Paulo is a bit rubbish. That's no huge surprise- even Brazillians of pretty much every other town will tell you that.
Our travelling went okay. Ferry from ilha grande was fine. And then our bus from Angra to SP was over an hour late in arriving. At that point we were very glad we hadn't gone for an overnight bus with tight connection in SP. But we took the opportunity to sample more local pasties- chicken good, meat okay, cheese comically contains meat, chicken and cheese fantastic. Seriously, a crispy outer made of cheesy bready stuff, a layer of melted cheese... and finally your tastebuds hit upon a centre that combines, yes, chicken and cheese. Yum.
Och, the journey was fine. These buses are nicer that average National Express types so snoozing, trip-planning and stopping at services for pasties is the order of the day.
Got into SP about 9.30pm and taxied to hostel where only food option was BAD Chinese takeaway. Generally, going out on streets of central SP at night is not recommended so happy to let man bring it to us.
And tomorrow we fly. Don't really think we'll bother using our spare hour to walk in SP- it just seems grim, threatening and uninspiring.
* The photos on this page do NOT show Sao Paulo. It just seems a reasonable chance to put up some more Ilha Grande shots *
