The Beautiful Loch ness taken from the ruined castle walls. This Loch has a magic about it and seems the biggest and widest we've seen with mountains all along. You come upon the castle on the winding road which runs along the western side of the Loch. The castle is very much a part of the history of the warring of the clans against the English and was finally abandoned by the English for probably a number of reasons-one being that the king needed his supporters to fight for him in the south agaainst the French and could not afford to be defending castles in scotland. The english torched the castle as they left.
