It was my mums birthday today and she chose to leave Elsey National Park and drive to Katherine gorge. The drive wasn't very long and when we got to Katherine we went shopping to get the food we need for the next part of our trip. Today we drove from roper bar to Elsey National Park it wasn't a very long drive. When we got to Elsey we set up and eat lunch after lunch we went to bitter springs, the water was warm and completely clear. We got in the tide was strong, and we were aloud to drift 200m down stream! When we were driving back we stopped to look at a very big termite nest and went back to camp. We had to wake up early today so we could go see the lost city which was about half an hour away. When we got there all we could see was high and skinny rocks. We did a walk around them and I felt very small! When I we got back to the start I found out why its called the lost city its because the rocks look like buildings and there are so many that you could easily get list if there was no path. Today we left the side of the road camp. We drove to butterfly springs in Limmen National park. When we stopped we ate lunch, and then me and dad went to look at the springs. When we got there we saw a water monitor it was all black and had a tail like an eel. When we went swimming to moment I got in I realised that it wasn't a hot spring but it was very cool and great to cool of in. Then after the swim we just relaxed and when for another swim!=-]

We are leaving kingfisher to day. We are going to be near the gulf of carpentaria. We stopped at hells gate road house and had ice blocks. Then we kept driving until we found a creek crossing and ate lunch. But we couldn't go near the water for there were crocodiles. Then we kept driving and finally we found a nice river crossing to stay at!=-]
