Hi all,
I finally made it to the end of the world, Ushuaia, at the bottom of Argentina. The journey down was loooong and cold but incredibly dramatic scenery made it all worth it.
Watching chunks of ice the size of a 10 story block of flats crash into the lake at the Perito Merano glacier in Chile was unforgettable.
Patagonia has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet and home to some pretty funky wildlife that throws itself into the road. The Guanacos, armadillos and ostriches that survive this suicidal behaviour are worth the trip... Whales, dolphins, penguins and sea lions are less of a road hazard.
I am now heading to Buenos Aires from where I will ship my bike to Africa to tackle the next continent.
It has taken 62 thousand kilometres , 1 year 7 months , 16 countries and over a thousand gallons of petrol and 5 sets of tyres to get here from above the Arctic circle in Alaska. It has been the greatest experience of my life and I believe Africa will be equally fascinating and challenging...No regrets.
