Ok so i've pretty much just had the best x mas and new year possible away from home.. Not sure where to start as it was just a complete and utter binge of everything possible, and my bank balance has taken a substantial hit respectively! I stayed with Faye at her apartment with her mate Mel, and was just surrounded by class people all the way through. There were Fayes lot whom i spent some time with in Loas back in October (Tim, Andy, JP and Steeny), Johnny and Nicki the couple i met in Thailand, i breifly met up with Laura and Lucy (ex Arc) but unfortunately didnt spend enough time with them to catch up propperly (i also missed Bonser just couldn't find an appropriate time), Andy 'H Dog H' from Uni with his mate Tally (Duram lad, made no sense), and a couple (Ben and Carrie) from Leeds TGI's. So all in all there was always plenty of people to hang out with.
First night, me and Faye went out to Jimmy Licks on Kings Cross (the Bar i've got work at when i hit Sydney, Speedie already works there) and got smashed whilst eating a tremendous amount of food and some sexy cocktails. We ended up meetin the boys in a massive club called Home, drank more and petered off to bed. Xmas eve we took a boat out on Sydney harbour which was $80 all you can drink for 5 hours which as you can imagine got really messy, and then headed off to george st to a club called Havanah.
Woke up on xmas morning with the boys at the door with boxes of goon (cheap oz box wine) ready to hit it hard! by 12 lunchtime we'd already done a couple of tequilla shots and a couple of glasses of wine which did wonders for my stomach. I cooked an Xmas dinner for 10 of us (sausages wrapped in bacon, stuffin the lot) which was difficult usin 2 pans and an oven in Speedie's tiny little Kitchen. It turned out all good (not as good as Susie Q's) but by the time it was done my appitie had wandered, i was left to watch the others scoff theirs down. The weather wasnt great (hence no BBQ on the beach), so most of us chilled in the flat, drank, laughed at Mel falling over alot (it was her bday on xmas day, so all the more reason to get her smashed), and made the most of an xmas away from home. To top it off Shameless of all programs was on late night, so we cried ourselves to sleep.
We found a quality Indie night, to which the mancunian power finger did a hell of a lot of dancing to some mint tracks, played some cricket in the park (for the record ive taken a hell of a lot of stick after our pathetic attempt at retaining the ahses), spent loads of time with the beautiful Faye Louise and hit Bondi beach during the week.
New years eve started badly as we all went down to the botanical gardens to watch the firework display due later that evening. We got there at 1.30 (afternoon), and were greeted by a 2 hr que to get into them, to make matters worse we had to drink all the alchohol wed brought to take in as it was no bring your own. By the time we'd got in at 3.30 we were all pissed, and endured another marathon drinkin session sat on the grass waiting for midnight. Bottle after bottle of wine was sank, and we all had a really good afternoon/evening/night hammered. I won't lie, i have no recollection of New Year or the fireworks, but im told they were mint.. My pictures say it all.
Further to my complete lack of recollection over this weekend, i believe we went to a festival on new years day known as field day. 10,000 people all getting trashed in a park with loads of dj's and just about everything else from midday till midnight. It is an entire blur..really i cant remember much at all. Although i know it was good. Again the pictures show us all having a pretty mint time.
