Hi.
I thought it was about time to write an update in english, so that those of you who still haven't learned danish, too have got a chance to follow me and Mathias's adventures around the globe ;). I know it's pretty long but you'd better read it as I aint gonna write an update in english every day, so you'd better read it.
To sum it up; the pictures you have seen so far are from The philippines. When we first arrived in Manila (capital of the Philippines), it didn't give us the best impression. Manila isn't a very friendly city. It's dirty, and the people there are trying to cheat you all the time.
After staying in Manila for a couple og days we went to the provincial area Puerto Galera. We stayed in the little party-town Sabang, which has a population of approximately 5000 people, 2000 prostitutes and 3000 fat old germans. Anyway, we didn't mind about what kind of people that went there, because the diving options were great, and we were there to dive. We met up with our common friends Sebastian and Christian in Sabang, as we already knew they were there. Sebastian and Christian were about to be graduate as dive masters, but Mathias and I just took the Scuba open water course and a deep adventure dive which lets us go down to 30 meters. In Sabang we lived in a bamboo cabin with a great ocean view, and almost every night we ate on the famous restaurant 'Banana Moon' with the drunk chef 'Many'. The man is so drunk he can barely stand up straight, but when he walks in to that kitchen, he just makes magic things happen to the food haha.
After Sabang we flew to Corron to do some wreck-diving. During WWII an american air raid attacked and sunk a whole Japanese fleet. The ships lay on water shallow enough for us to dive them. Most of them are 140- 160 meters long (that's 500 feet, Danielle, american.. ;). Except from the awesome diving spots there wasn't much to see in the little fishing town of Corron. One day the four of us rented some bikes to tour the small island, but Christians bike broke down and we had to return to the owner and tell him the bad news. That was no problem, he said. He'd just send two guys to tow it after another bike haha.
It was differently nice when we went on island hopping and found the incredible bounty beaches, which you can see pictures of in the photoalbum.
Me and Mathias went back to Manila to spend one last night before our departure to New Zealand. This time we stayed at a small hostel in a dorm bed room. It was totally different than the last time we were in Manila. The hostel was owned by a little lady and her husband. It wasn't like a real hostel, but more like we stayed in their home. Later that day we visited The Mall of Asia, which is a huge shopping mall, with more than 750 shops. The Mall of Asia doesn't feel as if it is located in the Philippines, it is a very modern shopping mall.
The day after we flew to Auckland, New Zealand. The flight was 20 hours, and we just arrived here 4 hours ago. Auckland is a really nice city and it is somehow nice to be back in civilization :)
We've now been gone just about 3 weeks and it's been awesome. We're looking forward to many more adventures.
By the way, the picture isn't ours as we are yet to take some pictures in Auckland.
Best regards

denizcan hej dansk!
Kh Janne & Co
