We arrived in Alice Springs on Friday afternoon and stocked up on a few provisions. On Saturday morning we set off early for Windscreens O'Brien to replace the front windscreen, which had been cracked just out of Dubbo and the crack was slowly growing longer. Thank goodness Steve had taken out insurance! We also tried to get someone to fix a Trail a mate jockey wheel but this is still a continuing project. (to those of you familiar with Sinclair Snippets we are revealing just a few of our Francis Fiascos). Steve also realized that he had been unable to get very little time on his iPad as I was trying to sort out the blog and problems with uploading photos (and still haven't managed this) so he has ended up buying me one as a belated birthday present. Happy wife, happy life!!
Today has been a quiet day with washing to do and we went to the Araluen Cultural Centre, which was very interesting - Helen if you can fit it in on your trip you would enjoy it.
We leave here on Tuesday morning to travel up the Tanami Track. This means no power and no services until we reach Halls Creek on Friday (we hope, if all goes well).
If anyone is confused about Ross being our location, you are not the only one. When I enter Alice Springs (which is where we are) it keeps tossing me out. Another little hiccup!,

Ray Waiting for news from Hall's Creek. Now I know how the people at NASA felt, while they were waiting for Apollo 13 to come around from the other side of moon :-)
