Glad all good with you and your mum and I are commiserating on having kids a long way away, but at the same time so pleased you've gone! Mum's are crazy like that. Guess what ... Sara's taken up fishing with her boyfriend...can you imagine and they've caught quite a few fish and last sunday John caught an eel!!!! He wanted to cook it in my kitchen .. no way. he can sleep on the sofa, smoke in the porch but not cook eel in my kitchen! (He cooked it at his sister's and they had it for tea!) How disgusting... the reason I'm telling you this is that you're probably eating 'disgusting' stuff too. I know Sim has, so it's just as well mum and I aren't travelling too!! Keep safe and enjoy. I spent this afternoon in the garden - pottering - and chopping long branches off a tree that was heaving with greenfly - or some other green bugs, ugh! I feel itchy all over now!! Hope you enjoy the forest next week.

Hi Steph, Finally caught up with you and will be a regular blog reader from now on! Great all is going so well for you and it sounds like you're having an amazing time. So sorry to hear about the 'chief' but you're seeing life as it really is I guess.

It's so great to have all this technology these days. I didn't imagine for a moment you'd be near civilization to keep in touch. Helps us mothers to cope! Simeon's also still having a great time in S Ameerica and says he'll be home for Christmas now instead of last week! I often go weeks without hearing from him when he's in remote areas.

It didn't rain at Olivia's birthday party though it chucked it down on the way home!

Molly, im glad you enjoyed the butterfly Park and i hear you held a big spider! Goodness me, you are much braver than i am. I have to get my friends to get rid of the spiders in my new house! By the way, i am sleeping in a bunk bed- at the top! I havent fallen out yet though. In answer to your qustion before i came, i do have a toilet just like at home but we dont have a bath or a shower. we have to use a big bucket of water to throw over ourselves! Love you lots too!
