So Qantas has been grounded - great. I'm meant to fly out tomorrow and it's still grounded! I can't get hold of anyone on the telephone and the internet is no use either.
I've been talking with Bob & Penny about what options I have; country train, bus, hire a car, fly with another airline, but at the moment I'm reluctant to see what the outcome of the Fair Work Australia meeting will bring - I reckon they could all be back at work by tomorrow morning so not entirely sure of what to do - I don't want to cancel my flight but also don't want to travel 2.30 hours to the airport just to turn around and come back again.
Hmm my flight was meant to be at 12.00pm so I'd need to be there early anyway so we'll see what happens.
As for today - we went to the Australian Reptile Park which is only a short drive from Bob & Penny's. We say Alligators, Dingo's, Koala's, Kangaroo's, Tasmanian Devils, Wombats, Snakes and Spiders, ooh not to mention Elvis the Crocodile - God that thing was HUGE - when we were watching 'feeding time' the keeper was try to lure him around his pool with food when all of a sudden right in front of me, he jumps up out of the water and has a go for the food - he snapped his jaws about 2 metres away from my face and it made me jump like anything - it sound like a car crash it was that loud!
After we left the park we went back to the house and had a lovely Tiger Prawn dinner with fresh salad and rolls - YUM - my favourite, after that we checked the news (still no decision on the Qantas grounding) and then went to bed - it was gonna be another early morning, up at 6am to catch the 7am train to the city.
