Arrived in Ko Tao yesterday after a fairly hellish journey - was just really long and tedious. Got to Cumphon late (about 12:30am). Stayed the night at a hostel and then got the morning ferry at 7am. We're staying at a nice resort-thing that has a quiet private beach and a good restaurant (although they don't do Pina Coladas which is very disappointing!!). Spent today sunbathing! Having a lovely time and the weather's been good so far. Going snorkelling tomorrow....

Still in Ko Tao - moved to the other side of the island now - much more peaceful and the bunglaow is great. We get to slepp in a miosquito net whoch os quite exciting! Went snorkelling today - was really awesome - just like on the discovery channel (obviously I'm too cool to be a regular discovery channel viewer but I imagine they have lots of stuff like i saw). Haven't updated the journal for a while, partly due to laziness and partly because the internet has been so slow here that I find it irritating! And they're charging 4 times the price that it was in Bangkok for a service that's a million times worse! Ko Tao is great - really gorgeous beaches - clear blue water, jungley bits in the centre of the island and coral too! and everything is so laid back here. Went to the most stunning waterfall today - Erawan Falls - was really beautiful - much better than the Timote advert!!And the water was so clean!! And a gorgeous colour blue (because of the calcium carbonate mineral salts) went swimming in it too!! But then i saw a crab and spent a good 10 minutes convincing myself that it would rip one of my legs off, so I had to get out.
