Hey everyone

Well i'm currently working in a hostel in Picton. It's a cute place called The Villa right by the harbour and the town (well it's very small around here and it only takes 2 mins to get anywhere) but it's very pretty with lots of cool people working here aswell. I've been here for a month now and there's lots of walks to do in the area and it's still pretty warm here even though it's autumn here now. I've been out on a dolphin watching cruise and seen some Hector dolphins which are very pretty and there was so many of them that were following the boat for ages. We also saw some seals and blue penguins and jellyfish which was very cool. I've also been on the Queen Charlotte track for a day which was 15k and the first part nearly killed me as it was so steep and i did get a little lost along the way but it was fun to do and saw some great views of the sea.

My favourite part of New Zealand so far was Wellington. It is so great there with lots of shops and cafe's and the museums were all free!! I also went on a Lord of the Rings tour which was fun as we got to see where lots of the scenes were shot for the first film and we also went to the weta workshop. Although going to see Hobbiton was much better as i got to see the set and as The Hobbit is being filmed now it has all been done up so it looked just as amazing as it did in the films. Plus at the end of the tour i got a bottle fed a lamb which was so cute.

Another thing that i've done that was totally amazing was going horse riding in River valley. We started out at 7am and went through the hills and it was all misty so it looked like we were riding through the clouds. We also saw lots of deers and sheep. It was so much fun and the views were really pretty from up in the hills.
