Sailing Croatia. WOW. 8 Days of eating, drinking, swimming, sunbaking and sleeping. Hard life i tell you.
We visited 7 different places including, Hvar, Dubrovnik and Omis. We cruzed the sea on our sailing boat filled with 26 awsome people, mostly aussies of course, and a few Kiwis and Canadans. Our days consisted of waking up to diesel fumes, due to a lack of fresh air in the lower cabins. Then if we woke up earlie enough (which many people didnt due to the events the night before) we were treated to conflakes, bread and eggs. We then crawled up to the top deck where we sunbaked, listened to tunes, read our books or caught up on sleep. I managed to get a little pink, but pritty impressed with my tan by the end of the trip.
Lunch , wow lunch. talk about a feed. Soups, pasta, chicken, meat, fish . you name it we ate it and we ate all of it. so awsome. So we stuffed our bellies and got in our bikinis (not such a good mix) ready for our swim stop. Then water was beautiful. We floated on lylos, jumped off the roof of the boat and priity much relaxed in the sunshine. The boat docked in the afternoon at a different palce each day, we were always so happy to be on land. By the end of the trip we had boat legs. It took atleast half a day for us to stop swaying.
After docking, we walk around the town, took happy snaps of castle and national parks and strolled through the markets. Some of the best times include our private pic-nick were 6 of us perched ourselves on a rock watched the sunset, snacking on cheese and salami while sipping on Vodka.
Other exciting nightly activities include pissing it up in Dubrovnik, where one of the Perth boys decided to get himself arrected for jumping on a cop car. Experiencing the win of Croatia in the Croatia Vs Germany Euro 08 games. The town ended up trashed with flairs and drunking fans. This was also the night night where our four boats participated in a pirate dress-up party. Rrrrhh de rrrrrrrr. The blanket that i adquired from Berlin finally was used. We cut it up and made vest and head bands. we were the best dressed on board....
After 7 nights of drinking and partying it was time to say good bye to a new friends and continue on our travels. With our bags filled with smelly clothes and our killer headachs from the clubbing in Spit the night before we departed and headed straight for the laundry. We spent the whole day doing washing, but we were the happest girls after. May i add this was our first machine was since we left. (but we have been hand washing).
may i add a funny thing this day was when i went to have a nap in the park. I took my blanket and found a possie to nap. i was awoken by a local who handed me a can of cake,... what the !.. i think he though i was homeless. hahah maybe i should do this more often ,, may get more free stuff.
Anyway we boarded the boat back to Ancona at 9pm that night, left with great memories and a tan thanks to amazing Croatia.
