Some of us are reading your blog avidly every day and can't wait 'til you come back to find out what terrible thing happened on the ferryover to Rome. Please give a brief account if only to keep those in the Six Bells quiet.

Glad you are enjoying Rome - suprised you could find anything cheap enough to buy Anna but no doubt you found something - as long as it fits me it doesn't matter!!!
Thought this would amuse you Anna - my upper sixth tutor group had some taster sessions yesterday, one of which was street dance - yes I can hear you say 'oh my god you didn't try it did you' - and the answer is yes!. I voluteered to be with the street dance group - wore you uni top to try and look tha part - declined the shoes as I didn't want them to think I was going to be really good. However, from my efforts, good doesn't even feature. I was absolutuely aweful -couldn't remember the steps nor keep up with the music! It didn't help that all of the girls except one dance and do street dance so as you can imagine, we went quite fast trying to learn the routine. I had foolishly thought that taster sessions would be with students who hadn't done it before but alas no. All I can say is that I thought you were wonderful when I saw you in the show and now I think you are even more wonderful and amazing!!! Obviously, I will have to learn to grow old gracefully!!.

Salve,
Just a short note to say we are not going to SA until 18th Oct.
I am sure you will all have a great time in Rome excellent sites as long as you do not get thrown to the Lions! ( Italian version of Millwall supporters ).
I understand you were quizzing mum on what to see in Rome. Sounds like you need to be a little more contrite when asking a favour but thats youth for you!
The things to see are: the colluseum - must see be not all that special. The Forum (next to the Coliseum) a must in my book vast area of ruins get a joint ticket and if you can afford it a guide.
The Pantheon - a church and free.
The spanish steps - free - scaffolding around it when we went 2 years ago.
Trevi fountain - free.
The Vatican. free to go in St Pauls the queue to go up the dome was long and cannot remember if free but think so. Views very good but dont spend 2 hhours to see we have photos!!!!
The Cistene Chapel and the museum a must but expensive and if you have no guide you will come out not knowing much.
depends where you are staying but we were by the Coliseum and walked every where but the vatican took the metro.
Lots of great square to eat and drink in - get a guide book.
Shopoholic
What would you lot do if you didn't have me to take the micky out of?!! Thought I would let you know that your comments have had a real impact and as a result, the cards have all been thrown away - sorry no Christamas pressies this year!.

Hi
Hope you are all having a super time. Given you are in Barcelona remember the night time water fountains although check they are on this time of year. There is an excellent convent on I think the red route. I know that sounds naft, but the models they have of the stations of the cross are quite special.
We have dropped Louise off at Nottingham - starting to settle in and getting into the freshers week.
Footie update - Chelsea had a good win against Villa 2 - 0 given 2 centre halves now injured. Drobra only injured knee so about 3 to 4 weeks out. Derby are having a very good run, so are Reading, I think Reading may do well this season. Does anna support a team, I would not like anna to feel left out.
Enjoy Barcelona and watch out for the pick pockets.
Bro
Alright guys hope your having a good time on your travels while the rest of us are working extremely hard! (well maybe not us students anyway)
Just thought id let Thomas know that I'd got into the university football team here at warwick. Somehow managed to get straight into the 2nd's. Unfortunatly i twisted my knee during the second trials, so Ill miss the start off the season as its swollen up and i dont know exactly whats wrong with it!!
Also Derby are now 6 games unbeaten as im sure your aware. good times.
bye

Bet you are impressed that I have mangaged to find the blog, let alone send a message! Dad reckons you wont keep to the no alchol tonight. Good to hear all your news but I hope you are going to do more'culture' and not just play cards after all you need to broaden your general knowledge so you can beat us at TP !! Dad enjoyed the shoppping trip today (well I didn't have anyone else to take did I?!) and as you will appreciate Tom, it's been a couple of weeks since I last 'flexed the card'. Anyway, I am sure Anna will approve of the purchases and no doudt avail herself of them on your return.Off to the Bottle House tonight. Enjoy Barcelona.
