All the way to Townsville where we caught the ferry to Magnetic Island the weather was rubbish. I have never seen rain like it..even in Wales. Change of plans. Due to the bad weather are plans to go north to laze about on some of Cairns top beaches had to be put on hold for another Oz trip. So referring to the bible....the lonely planet oz book we decided to head in land for a bit to the rainforest. A little place called Kuranda only an hr away from Cairns but it seemed like hundreds of miles away. (Totally different to Cairns) As soon as we got on the banger banger Johns bus to Kuranda...

Well we made it to Cairns the day after cyclone Larry. Luckily for us Cairns wasnt hit that bad but an hr south was totally destroyed.
