Hi Guys- forgot who u were - ooops sorry ! Only joking! The George is all fine- few new staff so lots of incestuous relationships- q club was like a mass orgy last time we went out. We are doing Topsham Ten next week to celebrate you being gone for 2 months ! I (Amy) am going into hospital tomorrow to have my teeth out so lots of sympathy pls and no Gareth- I don't mean all of them !!!! Glad you have found alternative outfits- me and rach were getting so worried we considered shipping some out to you. well you guys have been busy, get in as much as you can while you can. Work wise, i would suggest a bar job or a job in a hostel to pay for your accomodation, prob cleaning. as for the MP3 player, with my ipod i need to plug it in to the computer and put a disk in and follow the instructions, it could b different if the MP3 player you have is not a ipod. hope that helps. Got a date for the house, move in on the 26th Aug so quite exciting, not gunna move in straight away gunna do a bit of decorating first, so there is a room for your guys if and wen you get back. hi how are you doing at the mo, given dave a kick for you,he had a bit of an accident on his mountain bike a couple of weeks ago but is ok now, we have just bought a house and will be moving in in about 2 months. it has some spare rooms if you guys need putting up when you get back, monty is doing fine and enjoying his 12 month rest he is nice and dry in his barn but he misses you both,my van goes and sits with him for a couple of days when the weather is bad, have sold my motorbike to pay for the house was a bit gutted, hope you are having a great time. al misses his drinking buddies like mad!!! hopefully hear from you soon nick and sarah xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Everybody

Left Phi Phi a little while ago now (lost count of days). Decided to get the bus back up to Bangkok as we got the train down. All started well - luxury VIP bus, reclining seats, air con etc, then 5 hours into 12 hour journey it broke down. Clutch blew. So had to wait for a new bus to come & get us (now 1.30am), when it arrived not enough room for everyone. Cut a long story short, all cramped in, hardly any sleep and journey took about 16 hours in the end. Funny experience tho.

Arrived in Perth last Wednesday and got picked up by Ali's uncle Robin where we are going to be staying for a little while with his wife Angie and their daughters Claire, Naomi and Catherine & the cool dog Sally plus 3 cats & 2 geese. Nice to have some creature comforts again. Robin also has a large supply of whiskey in a filling pump tank - going down nice & quickly. Cheers Robin!

Angie took us for a little tour of Kings Park & a couple of places in Perth - had nice sandwiches in the park, and Robin has taken us for our 1st Ozzie beer in the local pub - & a kangeroo tour in the hills. Boing Boing!

We hired a car for 4 days and headed down south to Albany. Stayed in a cool hostel where we had chocolate cake and coffee for free at 6.30pm every day - may not sound exciting to anyone else, but free food & drink is a complete bonus for us!

Our 1st night there was a pretty heavy drinking night!! Ali back up to her old tricks - downing the wine and bringing it back up again. Met a nice girl called Emma & her neighbour Dean (a sheep shearer!!) - and hopefully we might be heading up north to stay with Emma's dad for a while and working for him.

Next morning went on a whale watching trip. Saw a mummy and baby hump back whales, seals etc. Really cool. Ali was hungover & sea sick but discovered that if you put a bit of tissue or napkin in one ear then it takes away the nausea. Also went to see blow holes and lots of tourist sights but will put pics on website to explain them then.

Stayed in Albany for 2 nights then travelled North towards Margaret River Region, stopping off to do a tree top walk on the way. Whilst in MR, we went to Lake cave and a winery - who didn't charge us for the wine we tasted so that was good.

All in all we travelled 1400 km's in 4 days - in our snazzy toyota cowolla (really corolla). Not bad.

Back in Perth now - had our 1st couple of days of rain. Shopping for some warmer clothes and trying to decide what's next on the list.

Em - Bit of a blast from the past about Laura F. Hope things are good with you. We're about as laid back as can be at the mo - just wish it was a bit warmer out here. Off in search of work now - money going down fast!! Any ideas??

Won't see her for her birthday...bigger fish to fry than us. She and Naomi have gone to a "gathering". They used to be called parties in my day. She is having her hair done Friday, and Naomi has already had hers cut and coloured, so hopefully you will still recognise them. Robin has permanently disconnected the heater. Hopefully the weather will be a tidge warmer when you get back. Beautiful and sunny here. Raining Friday apparently....mmmm. Have a few more jobs lined up Gareth. How are you at painting ceilings??? hi guys, cant believe you have been gone nearly 2 months, its going so quick, hope its not for you. got your postcard, thanks a mill. ali went out on sat and saw carly annals, im not sure if i told you but laura fowler died recently, i asked her what she died of and she said it was a drug overdose, i had a feeling it was but wen it was in the paper it obviously did say what she died of.
