In Wellington and the weather is great. SUPER sunny every day. I have been surfing in the Tasman sea and hiking in the rain forests. I have also spent time in Miramar, where Peter Jackson is starting production on the Hobbit and has made many films. I have met Greg Broadmore, who is famous at WETA for creature design. And I met Andrew Lesnie, a famous cinematographer for Peter Jackson. They were both verty friendly and spent time speaking with me.

Spent the first day touring la & hollywood. Went to panavision, Venice beach, marina del ray and all over. Sunny and 70 degrees. Flying out tonight at 9:40. First helping out on a film shoot north of la. I will be a camera assistant.

At airport early. Super easy taking train then shuttle. Flight at 3:45pm. Will be picked up by William in la. I'll be visiting some movie sets and meeting a couple directors.

Train ride from Westport was smooth. Met a guy who was in tenth mountain division and fought in second ww. Met in commuter cafe and rode on train together. He worked in Africa as national rep, incredible life!

I had an apocalyptic drive from acid to ny. Tons of snow! Woke up today to heavy ice storm. I'll have pics soon. At a nice little diner enjoying some hot coffee and pancakes. Taking public transport to airport tomorrow.
