First night at sea with Bruce and my father. The afternoon ride north up the inter-coastal was pleasant, yet with the rapidly approaching weather at our backs, I began to sense the unpredictability of life at sea. The first 5 hrs at sea have been very mild and the wind seems to have picked up. After becoming better acquainted with bruce, really appreciating his kindly shared wealth of knowledge, I am settling in for the night. Presently on a starbird tack with the wind at a beam reach, I must say life is beautiful.
