After leaving the beautiful Perth, me and a lad called Dave landed at Darwin to work at a Hotel for 4 weeks. We had to bring in and install furniture into 60 rooms which included beds, tables, entertainment units and sofas. Sounds pretty boring but it was quite fun as we ended up being in a team of poms, kiwis and the most craziest french canadian guy who had a never ending stream of the most funniest stories I have ever heard. During our time up here, I encountered huge crocodiles and snakes! Adds to the fun I guess! After the four weeks, I managed to land a job on a farm for three weeks in Queensland. I took part in mixing chemicals, driving tractors quad bikes trucks etc. The 5am starts were met with beautiful sunrises and the 7pm finishes were met by a fat bloke cooking 5 star meals. It was an interesting 3 weeks for sure! The work dried up so I decided to head back to Perth and stayed with Phil, a lad I met in thailand, for a week until I sorted a house share option. I got back into the removals company for 4 weeks but the work has now dried up again. So it looks like I will be on the move again very soon. I have plans to travel the West Coast at some point, and the small matter of Ayers Rock. A boring update but I should have something more interesting next time!
