Well, we've made it to Auckland! We didn't have much access to a computer in Anaheim, so Disneyland has no blog :( Disneyland was absolutely fantastic though! We ended up walking a little too much to find food, but the rest of it was okay, even the rain didn't put a damper on it too much. My favourite rides were probably Indiana Jones (a coaster type thingy) and of course Pirates of the Caribbean. But the other roller coasters were great as well, as well as the other rides (eg. the 3D muppet show!!). I really miss it!
Mainly because we landed 6am local time here (21 hours ahead of California), in the middle of a tropical storm. Yay! We wandered around a bit, got soaked, then finally had a sandwich at a little cafe place. We have another 4 hours before we can check into our hostel, so we're not quite sure what to do yet. It's definately an early night for us though, which isn't too bad as we get picked up by our bus tour (Kiwi Experience) tomorrow at 7am to go up to the Bay of Islands. We'll come back to this same hostel (YHA International) in 3 days time, before heading south to do virtually the rest of New Zealand. It's meant to get drier which is good.
So I think that's about all I have to say, without going into major detail about Disneyland. I'm really nervous about the bus tours, but that may be exhaustion setting in. All of a sudden you have to start thinking about where you're going to sleep and where you're going to eat (and washing clothes, etc; I've learned from attempting to handwash them in Disneyland that it's actually a lot harder than it looks to get them clean, and they never really dried...)
Wish me luck!
