memorial in Book Burning Square, Humbolt University Berlin. May 10, 1933 the Nazis took all of the classics and burned them in this square. The memorial is empty bookshelves, but what do you see when you look down? Reflections, apparitions of people, ghostly. Think of it what you want, that's just my interpretation, because another plaque in the square reads "Those who burn books will eventually burn people", a quote by a 19th century german poet, Heinrich Heine, who's work was banned by German authorities for his radical political views. This was extremely prophetic because he said it in the 1850s, long before WWI
