Email is slow here so we are choosing to drop the occassional message onto the board, before we can upload our photos again.
We are still on the Gili Islands. They are paradise. The beeches white, the coral full of fish, the plate full of fish and the glass full of Bintang (Indo lager). Things are a little pricey here so we may escape soon and go and find a mountain to climb.
Happy Birthday to Steve Merrell, Max Merrell, and Mike Roberts (in chronological order). We hope you had lovely celebrations and our thoughts were with you.
Max - not sure about the computer, all the leads are there, but the modem is for broadband connection, so you might need to get an another for dial up.
Villa fans - you were lucky. It was not a penalty!

Hi Sasha,
Glad to see that you are underway at last - it's funny to see you in Bali, which is the "local" holiday spot for Western Australians. It's great to be able to track your progress on the web as you go. Looking forward to seeing you and Sid in Perth in January.
Cheers,
Mark

Uncle Harry & Aunt Ruth
Dear Sasha and Sid, Like your Aunt Mary and Uncle Len we think its probably best to use Harry and Ruth. Lovely to see your photos and read message board comments. We will try and contact Antony to ensure he is following your journey. He is, as Judith his mother describes him, something of a " free spirit" which coupled with the travelling his work involves makes it difficult to get ones hands on him Ha Ha. We know that he and Arna are well as are his parents and also ourselves. We woke up this morning to a heavy frost and are looking forward eagerly to some warmer weather to start our campervan travels for the year. The snow is still quite low on the mountains and skiing is in full swing. Len and Mary have a scheduled voice contact with us on Yahoo Messenger every Monday night at 6.00pm Aust:/ 8.30pm NZ time. If you can break into this voice contact it would be quite exciting, we will listen out. Enjoy yourselves, take care, Love and Best Wishes, Ruth, Harry and Jessie
Ma & Pa (Monkeys...?)
Hallo both of you, well, this is the 2nd time I've posted message..first time we didn't press ..'add..' ha ha..Anyhow sounds like you're having an even better start to your TREK than you imagined. Dad is looking on email every morning for security for himself ha ha!! We had forgotten this way of chatting to you both so Stephanie's not on her own. Please don't liken us to the monkey family..speak for yourself Anyhow, saw Joel & Karen last eve as had meeting in Rugeley..your ears must have been burning..we chatted on about where you are etc for most of evening!! You've both had such a lot of messages,,keep on nagging all to persist with their messages..it's a great way of keeping in constant touch. (you don't need mobiles do you????) ha ha
Stayed at grandma's last nite..she's fine. Stay safe and keep sending pics etc...xxxxxxxxxx
Sasha And Sid
Dear all, have run out of patience trying to use these archaic computers to upload photos so we're giving up for now to go for some more freshly caught fish.... Left Bali yesterday and now in Gili Trewangan, an out and out 3kmx2km tropical paradise in Nusa Tengarra. Sharing a luxury cottage with two new friends (Canadians Monica and Jacqueline) for a few days and intend to swim, sunbathe, dive, snorkel, eat fish and not a lot else..... We're very, very, very happy to be here. TTFN xxx

Hi both
So glad to see you're there safe and sound. Still feel wierd and sad that I didn't see you before you went. The photos are brilliant and you've only been there a couple of days!
I will be thinking of you often and checking this site constantly! It will make a far more exciting alternative to hotmail and ebay!
Lots of love

All seems far too well organised so far... Stop blogging and get out there trying to have a 'accidential' experience with a transgender goat or something. Sid - buy some square galsses and tell everyone you are the Dhalia Lama. Big (manly) Love,
Joe
Best Brother
Sasha,
The picture of the monkeys - can you caption it up for me so I know which one is Sid? Thanks.
Sid,
Dropped in to see Mom on Sunday (Aug 20). Gary was there, but I still enjoyed it. She's looking forward to doing some travelling of here own in a couple of weeks. Her trip to see Steve in Turks is still on track I believe. Gary is looking forward to getting his GCSE results this month. Keep up the good work.
