am getting slightly irritated by all your "view from..." pictures overlooking sumptuous beaches/hammocks/clear blue skies.....want me to send you a "view from..." my desk at work.....car park/grey sky.....

Now our internet is working, I've had such fun looking at all your photos. You look SO HAPPY!!! I love your hair in braids-it reminds me of you as a little gymnast when I used to braid your hair--aaahh!
Your last few entries have been so full-where to start? Horse riding, snorkelling, travelling in funky buses, boats, pick-up trucks, what an adventure. Your appartment in Caye Caulker looked very high class with 1st class view for a backpacker! Although I also loved your kettle/tap!
The mix of white beaches, mountains, water-cities and night-life, alongside shanty towns must be quite confusing.
Your last experience of cave snorkelling not only sounded surreal but totally NOT your old mum-imagine not being able to lift my head out of the water--No thanks!!

Hi there. Been offline all this week so have only just caught up. Have been suicidal trying to get BT to fix the broadband. Spoke to at least 20 different people en-route. Finally tracked down the email of BT Chief Executive and, funny this, he got it sorted the same afternoon! Jill is in Paris with Stan on a big adventure. Anyway, sounds like Dalston could be twinned with Belize. Not sure about the swimming with sharks business. Are you still going to Cuba? Have fun and keep the journal going - it's really good. xNeil

Dear Shona, I loved your lively descriptions of the people and places you have seen so far. I'm sure if ever you find yourself jobless you could well become a travel-writer with the best of them. It strikes me that in the business of putting pen to paper you may have been, as they used to say, 'hiding your light under a bushel'.
I'm full of admiration for your pluck in undertaking such a marvellous globe-trotting adventure. Envious, too! I'm thinking that already, within the space of 8 or 9 days, you have seen more of the world than I have in as many decades. I hope to be lucky to read more from time to time. Meanwhile Good Luck! hey girlies x we are so so jealous, wish we were there in the heat. Talking of heat we have had a few dramas nik saw charlie (yes the one from 8 yrs ago) and not with miguel (bless got dumped),but she sprung back!!!!! im the new roomy at the mo just chillin, we have the keys to the pent house sweet so all good on the weekends with the lotus downstairs. apart from that nothing new lilly is seein a guy ( he is feeding her well).
