When we first decided to go to Prague, I knew very little about it. So I did some research, and with a lot of what I read was that Prague was arguably the most beautiful city in Europe, if not the entire world.
So walking around today, I must admit, my expectations were a little high.
Today was probably (and hopefully) the coldest day we will have while on this trip. Apparently Prague is experiencing a little cold spell right now. Today's high: 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Today's low: 37 degrees Fahrenheit! Luckily, at least while I was outside, if never hit below 45. Still, thank goodness I was prepared for some cold weather!
However, the cold was kind of nice. We have been in the terrible heat for the last few months, it was nice to feel some cool air!
Walking around, we saw the astronomical clock and went up for the view and we spent a good amount of time in old town square. We went to the Jewish quarter, but unfortunately didn't get to see much due to Jewish holiday. We walked the streets and took it all in, and it was a great time.
But when night came, I suddenly saw what everyone was taking about. The city is like a fairy tale at night. Prague castle lights up and the city looks like Disney Land! It's unbelievable!
Also, I think we are a little spoiled with our accommodations. We have our own bathroom and the room is probably one of our biggest rooms so far! The only issue (not really for us, but for anyone who might be interested in the future) is a whole lot of stairs and no lift. I should make a video of the stairs, because its pretty gnarly!
Anyways, I digress. Tomorrow we will actually have a few more hours in Prague before our night train to Amsterdam. Should be interesting!
