Sounds like your visiting the places i saw in 1991. Tuk tuks are great but beware, They are mad and they do rip you off. Stay out of the more seedy places i visited if you know what i mean. I stayed in the Kao San rd for £1 a night ( very plush,not) Have a great time.

Make sure you visit Khoa San Road...just for an experience if anything! Be a dare devil and try some of the food on the street too...its very good!
