It was a cold morning, just 39 degrees, when we left Van Horn at 8:30 AM. Fortunately it warmed up nicely and we finished the day in the 70's. Today we decided to take a day trip to Austin and the Texas Hill Country, which is a scenic area northwest of San Antonio, with highways weaving through small towns and wine country.
