This is the courtyard, or rather one of the courtyards, at Union Station in Los Angeles. The sun had only been up about half an hour and it was already very warm. you can see the shade in the yard, it was about 6.30 am. In the afternoon there is not much shade here, but it is a favourite place for people to eat al fresco whilst waiting for their trains
