Perito Moreno glacier
The Perito Moreno glacier moves some 2 m per day and is one of the few still growing glaciers in the world. At that speed, you constantly hear cracking sounds from the glacier and frequently pieces break off into the water (a process called calving). The face of the glacier is between 40 and 70 m high and because of the waves created by the big icebergs breaking off, boats don't get closer than 100 m to the glacer. The best is the colour of the ice. The sun light shining onto the ice breaks and lets the ice shine in different shades of blue. Awesome!.
