Arrived in Venice and on our walk we past a big fountain in the middle of a roundabout. The fountain had colours in the water and the heights of the fountains were altering as if to music it was interesting and very pretty! :)
The following morning we headed to the train station Venezia St Lucia. Unaware that the tickets we bought needed to be stamped for validation we got on the train and got 'caught'. The train drier tried to give hafiza a €200 fine! Eventually we explained we didn't know and managed to slip away with a €30 fine instead. Boom!
Got to Venice and walked around the rustic colourful looking streets. Went into a shop and bought some typical Venetian glass jewellery which had been made at the glass factory in Murano.
Carried on walking through the streets and over bridges to get to st marco's square where the bascilia marco and clock tower were. We went inside the bascilia which boasted some beautiful decorations inside.
Walking down the grande canal we saw many a gondola's. The crazy striped t-shirt gondola men kept trying to sell us gondola's for a ridiculous price of €80! We passed on that one and just carried on roaming the streets of Venice.
Stopped for some dinner on the grande canal. Seafood is one of their specialities! So we tried the Sea bass which was lovely. Sat by the canal drank our wine and let the sunset in Venice.
We left for the night train to Vienna this night.
